IRS Accessible Tax Publications (in Braille and Text Formats)

These files contain accessible versions of IRS Tax Publications. Each publication has been compressed to a WinZip (.ZIP) file. Each .ZIP file contains two items: a publication in text-only and a publication in .brf format for Braille embossing. The text-only files can be used easily with screen enlargers, screen readers, refreshable Braille displays and most other accessibility software. The IRS has made over 120 tax publications available in Braille and text formats.

To download a product:

Use the list below to select the appropriate product. Once you select the product, a dialog box will appear and allow you to save the file to your computer. Click "Save"
Select the location where you would like the file saved.
A "Save As" download box will display. Click "Open"
The .brf and .txt files will display in the WinZip box. Locate the WinZip file on your computer and double click on the icon to open.
Highlight the file(s) and click "Extract" from the WinZip toolbar or use the keyboard command SHIFT+E.
Select the location where you would like the file saved and Click "Extract" then close the WinZip box.
To view the products you downloaded, navigate to where you extracted the files on your computer and double click to open.

Some products contain multiple text-only and .brf files to accommodate size.
